He was selected as a young medical backbone talent in Wuhan and a top young medical talent (first level) in Hubei Province. Dr. Bu has received the “Qiu Weiliu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Hope Award” and the “Zhu Yubi Medical Award” from Wuhan University. His research focuses on oral and maxillofacial tumor resection and reconstruction (where he introduced the “Less Is More” concept); oral cancer lymph node metastasis (where he proposed the “PUMP+” principle); the development of biomimetic drug delivery platforms combining medicine and engineering; and innovative teaching methods in head and neck surgery (where he proposed the “PRI-E” teaching model). He has authored 66 first- and corresponding-author papers in prestigious SCI journals. Dr. Bu has also been invited to serve as a guest editor for Seminars in Cancer Biology, Burns and Traum, Journal of Nanobiotechnology and BMC Medical Education.
Qiuji Wu obtained his Ph.D. degree in Oncology from Gustave Roussy Cancer Institute. He is an associate professor and master’s supervisor at Wuhan University, and a deputy chief physician at Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. He currently serves as the deputy director and director of Teaching for the Department of Radiation and Medical Oncology (Gynecological Oncology). Dr. Wu’s clinical activities primarily focus on the precision radiotherapy and immunotherapy of malignant tumors. He has been selected for the “Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program (GCSRT)” at Harvard Medical School, the “International Medical Education Faculty Training Program (IMEP)” at the University of Chicago, and the first “Young Clinician Scientist Training Program” at the National Cancer Center of China. His research interests include the role and mechanisms of radiation on cancer immunity and its application in cancer treatment, as well as the mechanisms of radioresistance of cancers. Dr. Wu has led multiple research projects and published more than 40 scientific papers in journals such as Cell Death and Differentiation, Journal of Nanobiotechnology, Journal of Hematology and Oncology, Pharmacological Research, Cancer Communications, International Immunopharmacology, Cancer, Radiatherapy and Oncology, and Immunology.
Bing Liu, M.D., chief physician (Level 1), and doctoral supervisor, is currently the director of the Oral and Maxillofacial-Head and Neck Tumor Surgery Department at Wuhan University Stomatological Hospital.
