Auteur(s) du livre

Jude Okolie is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at Bucknell University. He previously served as an Assistant Professor of Engineering Pathways at the University of Oklahoma. His research focuses on the thermochemical conversion of waste materials into green fuels and the utilization of hydrochar, biochar, and activated carbon for environmental remediation. His work also involves the application of process simulation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to address challenges related to climate change, environmental pollution, and sustainable agriculture. Dr. Okolie has received several prestigious local and international awards, including the George Ira Hanson Energy Award for his work on thermochemical hydrogen production and the USASK Service Award for his contributions to diversity and equity. He is a two-time recipient of the esteemed Engineering Devolved Scholarship at USASK for his outstanding contributions to clean energy research. Dr. Okolie also led the sustainability program in France and played a key role in developing the sustainable engineering course at Bucknell University.Dr. Alivia Mukherjee is a senior consultant at Anthesis Canada (Consulting) Inc. and a recognized sustainability expert with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. Her work centers on biochar production and its applications in environmental remediation, including post-combustion CO2 capture. She has extensive expertise in activated carbon development, material characterization, carbon dioxide removal, process simulation, optimization, and the creation of innovative functional carbon materials for environmental solutions. During her tenure as a postdoctoral fellow, at the University of Alberta, Department of Mechanical Engineering, her research integrated advanced tools such as process simulation, artificial intelligence, and life cycle assessment (LCA) to tackle challenges related to sustainability, and environmental pollution. She has authored more than 15 peer-reviewed articles, multiple book chapters, and edited two books. Her ground-breaking research on post-combustion CO2 capture using activated carbon derived from spent coffee grounds has earned her numerous prestigious local and international awards.
