Wei Sun was born in 1973 in Hebei Province, China. He is currently a Distinguished Professor of Changjiang Scholars and a doctoral supervisor at Central South University (CSU), where he also serves as the Dean of the Graduate School. His research focuses on minerals processing, interfacial chemistry, and hydrometallurgy. Dr. Sun obtained his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from CSU and completed post-doctoral work at the University of Alberta and the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has published over 200 SCI-indexed papers in top-tier journals such as Water Research, Langmuir, Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, Minerals Engineering, and Hydrometallurgy. His contributions to the efficient development of oxide mineral resources, including tungsten, phosphorite, fluorite, and lithium ores, have been significant. Dr. Sun has been honored with 2 National Awards for Scientific and Technological Progress and several provincial and ministerial science and technology awards.

Haisheng Han was born in 1987 in Shandong Province, China. He is a distinguished young scientist and professor at Central South University. Dr. Han holds an M.S. and Ph.D. from CSU and has worked as a visiting scholar at the University of Queensland. His research interests include minerals processing, interfacial chemistry, and hydrometallurgy. Dr. Han has published more than 50 SCI-indexed papers in leading journals such as Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, Minerals Engineering, and Hydrometallurgy. He has made notable contributions to the development of new flotation theories and technologies for tungsten, phosphorite, fluorite, and lithium ores. Dr. Han received the Young Author Award from the International Mineral Processing Congress (IMPC) and the National Award for Scientific and Technological Progress of China in 2018 and 2023.
 

Zhiyong Gao was born in 1985 in Shanxi Province, China. He received his Ph.D. degree in Minerals Processing Engineering from Central South University in 2013 and has been working as a professor and vice dean in the School of Minerals Processing and Bioengineering at CSU since 2019. His research interests embrace mineral crystal chemistry, flotation reagent design, grinding media technology, wastewater treatment, and waste utilization. He has published 60+ papers with a H-index of 37 and 4000 citations. He has received numerous awards and honors including the MEI Young Persons Award, the National High-Level Talent Program, the China-Australia Young Scientist Exchange Award, the National Non-ferrous Metal Youth Science and Technology Award, and the Young Elite Scientists Award by the China Association for Science and Technology, etc
