Ilhami Colak earned his diploma in electrical engineering from Gazi University, Turkey, in 1985. Subsequently, he pursued an M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering, focusing on the speed control of wound rotor induction machines using semiconductor devices, also at Gazi University, in 1991. He completed his Ph.D. at Aston University in England in 1994, specializing in mixed frequency testing of induction machines using inverters. Colak progressed through the academic ranks, becoming Assistant Professor in 1995, Associate Professor in 1999, and Full Professor in 2005. He has published more than 225 papers on a variety of topics, including electrical machines, drive systems, machine learning, reactive power compensation, inverters, converters, artificial neural networks, distance learning, renewable energy sources, and smart grids. Over 86 of his papers have been cited in the SCI database of Thomson Reuters, with his work receiving more than 445 citations in total. Additionally, he has organized 54 international conferences and workshops.
Kenneth Eloghene Okedu served as a Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, USA, in 2013. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Kitami Institute of Technology in Japan in 2012. Okedu received his B.Sc. and M.Eng. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, in 2003 and 2007, respectively, where he was retained as a faculty member starting in 2005. He has held visiting faculty positions at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Petroleum Institute and the Caledonian College of Engineering in Oman (Glasgow Caledonian University, UK). He was also a Visiting Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Oman and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nisantasi University in Turkey.
Leo Raju is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar (SSN) College of Engineering in Chennai, India. He has 25 years of teaching experience and 4 years of industrial experience. Raju received his B.E. degree from the Government College of Technology in Coimbatore, Bharathiyar University, in 1994, and both his M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Anna University in Chennai, India. He serves as an editor for *Frontiers in Renewable Energy Research (Smart Grids)*. His areas of expertise include smart grids, micro-grid energy management, multi-agent systems, IoT, machine learning, and big data analytics. He has published numerous research articles in peer-reviewed international journals and presented many papers at international and national conferences. Currently, he is involved in IoT-based micro-grid projects.
