Prof. R. Alagirusamy is Professor and Head of the Department of Textile and Fibre Engineering. His main areas of teaching and research interest are composite technology, technical textiles, and yarn engineering.
Prof. Apurba Das is Professor in the Department of Textile and Fibre Engineering and Institute Chair Professor. His main areas of teaching and research interest are clothing comfort, sports textiles, nonwovens and technical textiles, protective textiles, filter fabrics, geotextiles, medical bandage, textile composites, and instrumentation.
Prof. Sohel Rana is Associate Professor in the Department of Textile and Fibre Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. His areas of research and teaching interest are hierarchical and multi-scale composites, conductive textiles, smart textiles, multi-functional textiles, fibres and textile-reinforced cementitious composites, yarn manufacturing, evaluation of textile materials and technical textiles.
Prof. Wazed Ali is Associate Professor in the Department of Textile and Fibre Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. His areas of teaching interest are textile preparation, colouration, and finishing. His areas of research interest are eco-friendly/green chemical processing of textiles, nanotechnology in functional materials (polymers and textiles), electro-active polymers and textiles.
Prof. Bipin Kumar graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India, with a Ph.D. in Textile Engineering in 2013. Currently, he is appointed as Associate Professor in the Department of Textile and Fibre Engineering at IIT Delhi, India. His areas of teaching and research are fabric engineering, functional textiles, medical textiles, textile/polymer physics and mechanics.
