Dr. Nurmala Sari is a lecturer at the Public Health Faculty, Hasanuddin University. She has been involved in health management activities particularly in east Indonesia region for 10 years. Her research and published papers facilitated health facilities management, hospital feasibility study, and performance management in primary care and hospital. She received her Doctorate degree in public health from Hasanuddin University with her research focusing on resilience in health care. She was also awarded a Master of Art degree in hospital management by the Leeds Institute of Health Sciences, University of Leeds. She is a member of the health management learning centre (PSMPK) in Hasanuddin University.

Andri NR Mardiah is a career bureaucrat at the National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS), Indonesia. She currently serves as Secretary for Deputy of Infrastructure and was previously Director for Higher Education, Science and Technology. She has been actively involved in research and policy papers formulation in disaster studies and post-disaster development contexts. She holds a Ph.D. from the School of Geography, University of Leeds, focusing on disaster recovery studies. She also earned degree from Monash University (Business and Economics) and Bandung Institute of Technology/ITB (Urban and Regional Planning). She is a member of the Indonesian Disaster Expert Association (IABI) and the Indonesian Development Planner Association (PPPI), as well as an initiator and editor for several academic journals, including the International Journal for Disaster and Development Interface (IJDDI) and the Journal of Indonesia Sustainable Development Planning (JISDEP). She is interested in the interdisciplinary research of collaborative governance and disaster resilience, local economy and livelihood recovery, spatial and regional economies and development, resilient infrastructure, climate change and sustainable development.

Rajib Shaw is a professor in the Graduate School of Media and Governance in Keio University, Japan. His expertise includes disaster governance, community-based disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, urban risk management, and disaster and environmental education. Professor Shaw was the chair of the United Nations Science Technology Advisory Group (STAG) for disaster risk reduction and currently is the co-chair of the Asia Pacific Science and Technology Academic Advisory Group (AP-STAG). He is also the coordinating lead author (CLA) for the Asia chapter’s 6th Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). He is the editor-in-chief of the journal Progress in Disaster Science, and series editor of a Springer book series on disaster risk reduction. Prof. Shaw has published 73 books and over 450 academic papers and book chapters. Professor Shaw is the recipient of the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA) in 2021 for his contribution in education sector. He also received the United Nations Sasakawa Award in 2022 for his lifetime contributions in the field of disaster risk reduction.
