James Barrett is Clinical Director, Charing Cross Gender Identity Clinic, The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a senior lecturer at Imperial College London. He was Foundation President of the British Association of Gender Identity Specialists, and has worked in the gender-diversity field for over 30 years, and assessed about 15,000 people with gender dysphoria.
