Akhil Datta-Gupta is University Distinguished Professor at Texas A&M University, and is well known for his contributions to the theory and practice of streamline simulation in petroleum reservoir characterization, management and calibration of high-resolution geologic models. Professor Datta-Gupta is the recipient of the Society of Petroleum Engineers' John Franklin Carll Award (2009) and Lester C.
