Biographie et livres de D. H. Lawrence
Écrivain anglais, David Herbert Lawrence, auteur du célèbre roman L'Amant de lady Chatterley (1928), est né le 11 septembre 1885 à Eastwood (Nottinghamshire, Royaume-Uni). Sa réputation de chantre de la sexualité et le parfum de scandale qui s'attache à son nom ont un peu occulté la richesse d'une oeuvre qui inclut romans, nouvelles, poésie, essais, récits de voyage, théâtre, peinture, sans compter des milliers de lettres et un manuel d'histoire. Il meurt le 2 mars 1930 à Vence (Alpes-Maritimes).
