Her research interests include historical pragmatics, corpus pragmatics, the study of (spontaneous) spoken language, pragmatics of fiction, and modality. She is the author of Personalisation in Mass Media Communication (John Benjamins, 2014) and Editor of the Journal of Historical Pragmatics.
